General overview

All students must complete six co-curricular activities to be eligible for graduation. These activities must be completed as part of SPPD I and SPPD II courses (3 activities per course offering for a total of six).

Participation in at least four of the activities must be live (on-site or via synchronous virtual offering). Students may participate/complete up to two non-live activities by utilizing resources such as recordings, readings, and podcasts.

Students can participate in co-curricular activities offered through SOP-W/M or outside SOP-W/M.  For activities not offered through the school, approval must be granted to receive credit for participation.

3.6 Communication

Participating in an information session about writing a professional pharmacy CV and resume has significantly enhance my professional growth as a pharmacy student. Firstly, it allows me to understand the importance of effectively highlighting my skills, experiences, and accomplishments on my CV. This process encourages self-reflection on my academic and extracurricular achievements, helping me to recognize my strengths and areas for improvement. Crafting a pharmacy CV can also aid me in setting clear career goals and objectives, aligning my aspirations with the requirements of the pharmacy industry. By learning how to tailor my CV to specific job opportunities, I can stand out to potential employers and increase my chances of landing interviews. Moreover, this session has provide insights into the professional standards and expectations within the pharmacy field, helping me prepare for the real-world demands of the profession. Additionally, gaining guidance on CV writing can boost my confidence in presenting myselves professionally and effectively to future employers. Ultimately, participating in such an information session can equip me with the necessary tools and knowledge to kickstart my career and foster continuous professional development in the pharmacy field.
